Stray will be coming out on the PS4 and the PS5 as mentioned above, and will also be coming to PC at the same release date. At the same time, the cat will help B-12 to rediscover his memories by finding different memory triggers around the desolate city, all the while trying to figure out how they can reach the outside world again. It also launched as part of the Extra, Deluxe, and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus. B-12 allows the cat to interact with the mostly-robot population of the game world and interface with objects in the world, allowing players to learn more about their environment and get a better grasp of what’s happening around them. Stray's official release date was July 19th, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC, and obviously there's no Xbox release date as of yet. To help the player interact with the game world, the Stray cat carries around a backpack and a small drone called B-12 that follows the cat everywhere.

The game’s environments can be traversed both horizontally and vertically, with BlueTwelve promising creative level design. BlueTwelve Studio’s seven-year-old pet project features captivating sceneries and locations, including the Antvillage that was featured in the June 2 State of Play trailer video: a village built around a huge reservoir that the cat player needs to traverse using cats’ exceptional abilities, acrobatics, and finesse. Stray has players control a cat in this exploration-heavy game.
